- Venue is part of community school on B892 road approx 1 mile from Creagorry. Car park at venue.
- Built 1988-9, as studio theatre within school.
- Capacity 102 seats in main seating rake with a further 30 seats on each side of balcony (132 seats in end-on format). Padded bench style.
- Mobile reception reasonable on some networks. Payphone in school foyer.
- There are no services at Lionacleit. Hotel, Co-op, Post Office at Creagorry (1 mile), Bank & cashpoint, cafes, petrol and other services at Balivanich (5 miles).
Hall Details
- Stage: 8.64M (28’4”) wide x 6.32M (20’9”) deep. Space is 11.84M (38’10”) deep with seats retracted. Height to grid 4.27M (14’). Wings (under balcony) 1.68M (5’6”) both sides. Crossover under back balcony 1.14M (3’9”) deep, if back black rigged on hemp bar 8. Height of balcony approx 2.29M (7’6”). Stage has 8 hemp sets & 2 winch LX bars. Also projector screen on winch. Venue also has orchestra pit if floor blocks removed.
- Décor: floor polished wood, no markings; walls navy blue with red steel structural supports & grid. Some black drapes available.
- Get-in: through backstage access, 1 step, 2 sets double doors, straight. Approx 10M from van loading area to stage. 1.32M (4’4”) wide x 2.03M (6’8”) high.
- Acoustics good.
- Blackout good.
- Heating by radiators.
- No piano. No smoke detectors.
- Ladders available, overhead grid accessed by catwalk.

- Power: 100amp 3-phase incomer to control room.
- Full stage lighting rig available – Tempus 24 channel 2 preset desk, 4 x Tempus dimmer racks (24 channels, patchable), 30 x 650w profile spots, 20 x 650w fresnels, 3 x flood battens, 1 x follow-spot. LX bars on all 4 balconies + overhead catwalk grid (FOH), 2 winchable LX bars above stage. 55 circuits on grid + 4 dip circuits.
- Small PA available – Soundcraft 8-4-2 mixer, 4 x Tannoy Lynx speakers & amps, mics, stands, CD, reverb unit. 8 mic tie lines. Comms sets available.
- Projector & screen available – no details.
- Houselights are dimmable 25w bulbs (festoon style), controlled from control room or stage left wing.
Backstage
- 2 dressing rooms with separate backstage toilets. Showers available in school.
- School canteen kitchen in complex.
