Address: Cresset Hall, Camphill Community Campus, Locharthur, Beeswing, Dumfries DG2 8JQ

Venue is off south side of A711 road at far end of Beeswing village as approaching from Dumfries. Turn left for New Abbey & Camphill Campus, enter farm shop car park and take road to left of this towards Lotus House (white building). Hall is adjacent. Car parking at farm shop (5 mins walk), limited parking at venue.
Built as steading in Victorian era and converted to hall around Millenium.
Capacity approx 80; padded, stacking, non-interlocking chairs.
Mobile reception variable.
Locharthur has a farm shop & café nearby. All other services at Dumfries (6 miles).

Hall Details

Hall Dimensions: 5.42M (17’9”) wide x 10.02M (32’10”) long. Height at side walls 3.25M (10’8”) rising to 4.9M (16’1”) at apex. 6 roof trusses over hall & stage @ 3.65M (12’) high above hall floor / 3.07M (10’1”) above

stage floor).

Stage: 5.42M (17’9”) wide x 6.02M (19’9”) deep to back cupboards. Height of stage 0.61M (2’)). No crossover. Access treads across entire stage front (4 steps).
Décor: floor grey carpet, walls & roof white. Stage floor light wood. White folding screens available to form back wall of stage.
Get-in: through side fire exit, double doors onto grass bank walkway down to van loading area. Approx 15M from loading area to stage. 1.4M (4’7”) wide x 2.1M (6’11”) high.
Acoustics good.
Blackout reasonable, windows have curtains or blackout boards & skylights have blinds.
Heating by under-floor system.
Upright piano available. No smoke detectors in hall.
No access equipment but ladders can be borrowed.

Technical

Power: 100amp single-phase incomer in switch room in hall foyer. 32amp single-phase socket in same location.
Small stage lighting rig – control not seen, 2 Strand Act 6 patchable analogue dimmers, 6 x 300w Minim23 spots, 6 x 300w Minim fresnels, 3 x 650w Quartet fresnels. 2 side LX bars & long brackets to hang lights off roof trusses.
Portable small PA system – QTX powered speaker with small mixer facility.
Houselights are dimmable down-lighters controlled from down stage left wall.
