Address: Main St, Lochinver, Sutherland IV27 4LX

Venue is on east side of Main St in middle of village opposite Assynt Visitor Centre. Small car park at rear of Visitor Centre & parking on street.
Built 1902 and refurbished in 1990’s
Capacity up to 150 if stage used, approx 100 if performing on floor. Padded, stacking, metal-framed chairs stored on meat-racks.
Mobile reception variable.
Lochinver has bank & cashpoint, general store, Post Office, café and hotel. Nearest petrol at Scourie (26 miles). Alternative petrol and other services at Ullapool (37 miles).

Hall Details

Hall Dimensions: 16.4M (53’10”) long x 7.75M (25’5”) wide. Height at side walls 3.2M (10’6”) rising to 4.58M (15’) over central spine (apex).
Stage: 4.55M (14’11”) wide x 4.57M (15’) deep to back wall, 3.96M (13’) to back blacks. Height of pros arch 2.37M (7’9”) with height rising to 3.48M (11’5”) in centre of stage. Height of stage 1.1M (3’7”). Wings 1.63M (5’4”) both sides. Black box stage with legs & borders on tracks. Crossover behind back blacks. Access treads off stage right into side corridor.
Décor: floor light wood, no markings, walls light wood clad lower, pale yellow upper with white roof. Stage FOH tabs dark blue
Get-in: through side fire exit up ramp or 3 steps with right angle turn through double doors into hall. Approx 10M from van loading area to stage. 1.17M (3’10”) wide x 1.88M (6’2”) high.
Acoustics good, hall roof has been acoustically treated.
Blackout reasonable – all windows have unlined curtains.
Heating by quartz infra-red glow heaters. Operated by £1 coin meters.
Upright piano available. Smoke detector in hall possible to isolate.
10 step A-frame stepladder available.

Technical

Power: 100amp 3-phase incomer located in locked cupboard in meeting room. 63amp 3-phase socket & 32amp single-phase socket in same location.
Small stage lighting rig available – 6 channel Act 6 single preset lighting desk, 2 Strand Act 6 patchable dimmers, 2 x 650w profiles on FOH perches, 6 x 650w fresnels, 3 x 500w floods, 4 x 150w (old) floods on stage, 3 stage LX bars.
Small sound rig – mixer & amp (not seen), Yamaha speakers and selection of mics.
Houselights are switched fluorescents, switches at hall entrance.
