Venue has hall-keeper and tickets sold at nearby Tourist Info office.
- Venue is in town centre opposite the Abbey. Small car park and town car park nearby.
- Built 1901 as Public Hall.
- Capacity max 480 including 120 on balcony. Padded, stacking, non-interlocking chairs.

Hall Details
- Hall Dimensions: 11.5M (37’9”) wide x 17.6M (57’ 9”) long (11M
to balcony front). Height at side walls 5.34M (17’6”) rising to approx height at centre 7.62M (25’).
- Stage: Proscenium opening 7.26M (23’10”) wide x 4.42M (14’6”) high at sides. Depth 6M (19’8”) to back wall, 5.24M (17’2”) to back black drapes. Height of stage 1.07M (3’6”), height to grid 4.12M (13’’6”). No wings. Crossover behind back blacks. Access treads (7 steps) to auditorium available.
- Décor: floor polished dark wood, no markings; walls lower light blue, upper white/pale blue; roof white. Windows have black blinds. Stage black box with brown FOH tabs.
- Get-in: through hall main entrance, 3 steps outside, 2 sets double doors straight into hall, 1.42M (4’8”) wide x 2.06M (6’9”) high. Approx 15M from van loading area to stage.
- Acoustics reasonable with slight reverberation.
- Blackout good – all windows have perfect-fit blinds.
- Heating by wall mounted radiators.
- No Piano. No smoke detectors.
- Large A-frame steps & 3 section Xarges ladder available.
Technical
- Power: 100amp single phase in SR wing feeds 60amp single phase breaker for house dimmers.
- Small stage lighting rig – 36ch Strand 2-preset desk (operated from stage only) & 24 non-patchable dimmers 2 profile spots on balcony & 3 stage LX bars. Mix of 500w fresnels, floods and battens.
- Sound – small PA system – Spirit 12-2 power-station/CD mixer amp, 2 EV speakers (mobile system). Microphones & stands available.
- Houselights are switched wall lights or roof lights, switched from dressing room SR.
Backstage
- 1 dressing room with separate toilet stage right.
- Small Kitchen available under stage.
