- Venue on main A83 on LHS as heading out of Tarbert towards Campbeltown. Small car park.
- Built 1902 but major upgrade in 2009.
- Capacity approx 200 if stage used, 120 if performing on floor. Padded stacking chairs.
- Tarbert has most services (hotels, cafes, shops, mini-markets, take-aways, banks, petrol & hardware)
Hall Details
- Hall Dimensions: 11.28M (37’) wide x 16.15M (53’) long. Height at side walls 3.56M (11’8”) rising to approx 6.1M (20’) at apex. A-frame roof. 5 tie bars at 4.15M (13’7”).
- Stage: Pros arch with small wings and crossover through backstage dressing room/store area. Pros opening 4.9M (16’1”) wide x 4.7M (15’5”) deep. Wings SL 3.5M (11’6”), SR 1.68M (5’6”). Height above stage 3.5M (11’6”), height of pros arch 2.46M (8’1”), height of stage 0.9M (2’11’). Access treads either side of forestage.
- Décor: Floor wood laminate with Badminton Court markings. Walls – lower tongue & groove light wood with red band above, upper & roof – cream. FOH tabs green.
- Get-in: good, through hall fire exit, parking adjacent, 1 set double doors, flat, approx 16M from van loading to stage. 1.52M (5’) wide x 2.3M (7’6”) high.
- Acoustics slightly reverberant.
- Blackout good. Doors to FOH & Kitchen have glass panes with no covering.
- Heating by radiators.
- No Piano. Smoke Detectors in hall, difficult to isolate.
- 2-part extending ladder & small steps available.
Technical
- Power: 100amp 3-phase incomer in switch room in foyer. 13amp sockets on 30amp ring main.
- Stage lighting – small rig available. Zero88 Juggler 12 channel desk, 12 dimmer channels (non patchable, in locked cupboard off SR wing), 1 FOH LX bar, 1 stage LX bar all with 16amp cee-form connectors. 4 x 650w profile spots, 6 x 650w fresnels, 1 x 500w flood.
- Sound – small PA system available – Skytec 4 channel mixer amp & speakers.
- Houselights are fluorescents switched in foyer switch room, or wall sidelights switched from SR wing.
Backstage
- Room backstage can be used as Dressing Room. If Youth Club space available then separate toilets located here.
- Kitchen available and bar area at back of hall.
