Venue is off B9176 (from A9 – Alness – Struie – Fearn road), approx 3 miles from A9. Turn left at phone box by primary school signed for Dublin & Strathrusdale. Hall is sign posted. Car park at hall.
Built in 2000.
Capacity 80 – 120 depending on size of performing area, stacking padded non–interlocking chairs. Tiered seating bank available.
Mobile reception variable, payphone in hall (01349 880591), wi-fi available in venue.
There are no shops or facilities at Ardross; banks & cashpoints, hotel, shops, café, petrol & other services at Alness (3 miles).

Hall Details

Hall Dimensions: 8.38M (27’6”) wide x 18.13M (59’6”) long. Height at side walls 5.3M (17’5”), rising to 5.95M (19’6”) at centre (curved roof). FOH tab track @ 4M (13’2”) and LX bars over stage @ 4.27M (14’).
Stage: 56 units Stage Systems rostra 0.75M sq available, making stage 6M (19’8”) wide x 3.75M (12’4”) deep @ 0.74M (2’5”) high. FOH tabs at front of stage. No wings or crossover. Forestage extension of 1.5M (4’11”) depth possible.
Décor: floor wood laminate, walls pine panelled lower, hessian and wooden slatted upper, light wood curved roof. Maroon FOH tabs, side blacks on stage, blue green window curtains.
Get-in: Good, through emergency exit, flat, straight through 2 sets of double doors. Approx 10M from van loading area to stage. 1.35M (4’5”) wide x 1.98M (6’6”) high.
Acoustics reasonable, slightly reverberant but hall is acoustically treated.
Blackout good, all windows have lined curtains.
Heating by undefloor system.
No Piano. No Smoke Detectors in hall but exist elsewhere throughout venue.
3 part Xarges extending ladder available.

Technical

Power: 100amp 3-phase incomer located in front office. 6 x 32amp single phase sockets in dimmer room behind stage.
Stage lighting – 2 x FOH perches and 3 overhead LX bars, Zero88 Level 18 desk, 3 x Betapack patchable dimmers & DMX tie-line to FOH, 6 x 650w profiles, 6 x 650w fresnels, 4 x 500w floods (all Selecon).
Sound Mackie 16-4-2 mixer, Yamaha 500watt amp, Yamaha wall mounted speakers, CD, cassette, limited mics available. Multicore to FOH.
Houselights dimmable up & downlighters, switched sodiums, switches by hall FOH entrance.
