street. Venue has hall-keeper.

Built 1879 and refurbished. Current upgrade during 2020.
Capacity approx 260 including around 80 padded fixed seats on balcony. Plastic, stacking, non-interlocking chairs.
Mobile reception good. Payphone in Market Square.
Stonehaven banks, hotels, cafes, shops, petrol and all services.

Hall Details

– Hall Dimensions: 19.8M long (65’) x 11.28M (37’) wide. Height of roof approx 6.1M (20’), roof is arched. Height under balcony 2.79M (9’2”).

Stage: Proscenium opening 6.7M (22’) wide x 3.66M (12’) high, stage depth to back wall 6M (19’8”) with slight rake 1 in 30. Height of stage 1.35M (4’5”). Stage apron 8.5M (27’11”) wide x 1M (3’3”) deep. Wings 2.14M (7’) both sides. Crossover behind back blacks or via back corridor. 9-step treads in stage left corridor.
Décor: floor polished wood, no markings; walls dark pink lower, light pink upper; roof maroon with white mouldings. Stage has blue FOH tabs and blacks on stage.
Get-in: through front doors and foyer, up 2 steps, 3 sets double doors into hall 1.22M (4’) wide x 2.1M (6’11”) high. Approx 30M from van loading area (double yellow lines) on street to stage.
Acoustics reasonable.
Blackout reasonable – all windows have lined curtains.
Heating by radiators.
Upright piano available. Smoke detectors on stage.
No access equipment seen but assumed to exist.

Technical

Power: 60amp 3-phase supplies house dimmers in box stage right wing. No 13amp sockets on stage, only in hall space.
Stage lighting – Strand MX48 desk in control box, 48 channels patchable Strand dimmers on stage right gantry, 6 x 1kw profile spots, 2 x 1kw fresnels, 4 x 500w fresnels, 10 x 500w floods, 3 x 8-cell flood battens. LX bars on balcony and side walls, 3 on stage.
Small portable PA – 4 channel Watson mixer/amp and speakers.
Houselights are dimmable hanging pendants and balcony lights, controlled from control box on balcony or stage right corner.

Backstage
